Furniture made to stand up to demanding environments. At Plymold, that’s a reputation we’ve been building for 75 years.
Steel-frame furnishings for demanding environments. Like yours.
Established at the end of World War II, we remain true to the vision of our founder, Harold Nielsen. He had an unwavering belief in hard work and made an uncompromising product to back it up.
In 1967 he identified a niche for rough-and-ready specialty furniture called “contour mold.” With a single piece of equipment under our roof, the Plymold brand was born. Since then, we’ve grown and extended our capabilities to include a more complete product offering. Today we’re the go-to supplier for foodservice venues worldwide in almost every type of commercial setting.
Not all furniture is destined for a light touch. Plymold is built for real life and everything it dishes out.
100% employee-owned.
Harold Neilson was known for a “desire to do the right thing.” When he retired, he elected to sell the company back to the employees who helped him build it. An Employee Stock Ownership Plan was formed, and in 1992, Plymold became 100% employee owned.
Our greatest asset literally is our people. Relationships are at the heart of who we are. The workplace is an extension of home. When we have a company brainstorming, it’s usually to improve a product or bring “change for the good.” We seek caring relationships with our business partners, our communities, and each other. We champion involvement and own every outcome.
Community-focused.
We work here and we live here. Each decision we make impacts the whole community. We help build prosperity through investing in that community. We support and sponsor local sports teams. We offer scholarships to employee families and local high-school students. We’re always looking for new ways to give back.
Plymold Proven Process.
Our proven process is tailored to help you get the most out of your space. We’ll start by walking you through our methodology and process before showing you room layouts, and helping you select the right furniture. The result is a space that is functional and aesthetically pleasing. We’re here to ensure that no stone is left unturned so that you have a clear picture of costs and time involved with your project.
