As an employee-owned company, we understand the importance of supporting our community. Plymold awards two scholarships annually; one for a graduating senior of Kenyon-Wananmingo High School and the other for a child or grandchild of a Plymold employee-owner. Recipients are selected based on leadership and community involvement. This year the Scholarship Committee determined three worthy recipients and awarded an additional scholarship.
Plymold is thrilled to announce that Darryn Miner, Addison Flom, and Bailey Leininger have been named the 2024 Plymold’s Pete Ackerman Memorial Scholarship recipients.
Darryn has been active in Scouting and the Faribault Police Explorer Post. After graduating from Faribault High School, he plans to pursue a degree in criminal justice and ultimately become a law enforcement officer. Darryn has two grandparents who are Plymold employee-owners!
Addison has been involved in numerous community activities including Feed My Starving Children, the American Red Cross, MN Adopt-A-Highway, and volunteering at Holden Lutheran Church. Her passion for helping people has led her to choose a career in speech pathology which she’ll study at Florida Atlantic University in the fall. Her father is a Plymold employee-owner and she will be graduating from Kenyon-Wanamingo High School.
Bailey has been involved in Red Cross blood drives and the Wanamingo
Lions Club. She has a passion for the environment and plans to further explore this by studying Engineering with a focus on the environment and water resources after graduating from Kenyon-Wanamingo High School.
We wish Darryn, Addison, Bailey, and all of the applicants success in their academic endeavors and thank them all for their role in building a better community.
